Outstanding breakdown of how institutional capture works in slow motion. The brilliance of the Weiss appointment is that it launderes advocacy into "balance" while sidelining actual reporters with deccades of institutional knowledge. What makes this especially troubling is the pre-screened audience designed to gaurantee softballs rather than scrutiny. When legacy media organizations abandon their own standards to chase perceived neutrality, they're not restoring trust but actively destroying the last credibility they have left.
